The Fun of Social Dancing: November 2016

Not only do I teach dance but I have had the priviledge of choreographing dance routines for high school students and adults.

For the past 12 years, Sprague High School has sponsored the Mr & Ms Olympia Pageant, a fundraiser for Dornbecker Hospital. In 2007, I choreographed a Salsa routine for Maya Ramsey and Jordan Cho. Maya won Ms Olympia that year. In 2008, I choreographed a Night-Club Two Step routine for Tony and Kiersten. This year, I'm choreographing another Salsa routine for Jordan and Heather.

Last year, the Salem Chamber of Commerce initiating the entertainment of "Dancing with the Stars" for the fundraiser, "Evening d'Elegance." I choreographed a Salsa routine for Mike and Diane McLaran (Mike is the CEO of the Salem Chamber) and assisted Erich (a partner with the law firm Saalfeld, Griggs, et al) and Heather Paetsch with their Lindy Hop routine. This year, I choreographed a Cha-Cha routine for Alex and Marie Blevins (Marie is the Executive Director of the Salem Carousel) and a Latin Hustle routine for John and Betty Pataccoli, owners of the Redhawk Vineyard.

In high school, I was the choreographer for high school plays and also choreographed cheerleading routines as they were the only sources available for me to expose my creativity....and love. I am honored to be choreographing again, 35 years later, for such wonderful people and great events. Thank you!
